ALS听praised after latest Ofsted inspection听
ALS Training, a subsidiary of 鲍鱼tv and part of the Cardiff and Vale College Group,听has received a positive听Ofsted听report following a successful inspection of听its听Aerospace Apprenticeship programme.听听
Inspectors met with apprentices, delivery听staff听and senior听leaders听to听evaluate听the听quality and impact of the work-based training provision.听The report, published in January, highlights听strong performance听across several key areas, including leadership and management, learner achievement, curriculum听design听and teaching standards.听
Ofsted听praised听ALS鈥檚听inclusive听and supportive culture,听noting that apprentices鈥� wellbeing,听safety听and professional development are听central to the organisations approach.听Learners were described as confident,听demonstrating听high levels听of听engagement with their learning and a strong understanding of industry expectations.听
Leadership was singled out for听its听in-depth听knowledge of the provision and听its responsiveness to employer feedback, ensuring the programme is aligned with the needs of the sector and the apprentices.听Tutors and delivery staff were听also听praised for听their commitment to professional development.听Assessors undertake听regular听industry-specific training听to听maintain听the听high听standards听required听within the highly regulated aerospace industry.听听
The curriculum and teaching methods听were described听as ambitious and听future-forward, with a clear focus on developing the skills needed for the future of the aerospace industry.听Apprentices听benefit听from expert teaching that breaks down complex technical concepts into clear, accessible learning.听
Apprentices make听excellent听progress on听programme,听with听both the听achievement rate听and apprenticeship pass rate听exceeding听the national average.听Ofsted highlighted the unique relationship between training provider,听employer听and learner, describing it as听a key strength of the programme.听
A听particular听standout听within听the听report听was听the听focus on听learner听support听and inclusion.听ALS Training听provides听a range of pastoral support services, including access to a 24-hour helpline staffed by healthcare professionals,听assistance听with travel expenses, and tailored support to help apprentices succeed both academically and personally.听
